A by-product of the late 90s warehouse Vegas scene, DJ AFS has been playing music in some way, shape or form for the last two decades. Inspired by the early works of Armand Van Helden, and Daft Punk, AFS started buying vinyl and hasn’t looked back since.

Over the next ten years he would rock everything from basement raves to indie rock dives to bottle service clubs to nearly sold out arena rap shows. There wasn’t a crowd he couldn’t move or a genre off limits. Groundbreaking nights like XOXO Thursdays, Hustle and Tonic Afterhours would shape Northern Nevada nightlife in the the 00s and push a variety of cutting edge sounds rarely heard in the area.

In a 2010 move back to Las Vegas, AFS decided to scale back on his gigs to focus on the music he loves most – house and techno. As MNTRA Entertainment’s latest resident, he’s been bringing his unique mix of acid house, jacking soul, industrial and analog heavy techno to dancefloors across the Vegas valley. Vegas raised, Chicago and Detroit influenced, AFS is sure to make your body jack. You’ve been warned.
